Minister Attaf receives a phone call from his French counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Mr. Ahmed ATTAF, received today a phone call from his French counterpart, Mrs. Catherine COLONNA, who congratulated him on his appointment as head of the Algerian diplomacy. 

This communication between the two Ministers was a follow-up to the telephone conversation between President Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE and his French counterpart Emmanuel MACRON on March 24, 2023. It enabled them to examine the prospects for strengthening bilateral relations in view of the bilateral events that have been agreed upon, in particular the State visit that President Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE will soon make to France.

Within this framework, Mr. Ahmed ATTAF and Mrs. Catherine COLONNA have proceeded to the evaluation of the progress of processing of the main files that should constitute the substance of this State visit.

To this end, the heads of diplomacy of the two countries informed each other about the designation of focal points to ensure the coordination of sectoral cooperation actions in the spirit of the "Algiers Declaration for a renewed partnership between Algeria and France".
